Governor yearns for a 'Better India'

Imphal, August 14 2024: Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya extended heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Independence Day, 2024 .

In his message, the Governor reminded that freedom was achieved from the colonial powers after a long struggle by dint of the labour and hard work of millions of people and added that the present generation must strive tirelessly so that the hard-won freedom continues to guide all the citizens to greater wellbeing.

"On this auspicious occasion, let us renew our pledge to protect the hard earned freedom and also contribute for a better India where all are equal and no one goes hungry or gets victimised," the Governor added.
