RIMS conducts medical camp

Imphal, April 12 2025:
As part of its Swachhta Action Plan 2025-26, RIMS Imphal conducted a one-day free mega health camp on Saturday at Dharmalaya Hall, Brahmapur Nahabam Bamon Leikai Basketball Ground, Imphal East.
Guruaribam Sanatomba Sharma, treasurer Dharmalaya Social Welfare Association, noted that the camp was organised in response to approval of a request submitted to the director of RIMS, while expressing the association's commitment to hosting similar health outreach programmes in the future.
Medical professionals from multiple departments - including medicine, paediatrics, gynaecology, ENT, orthopaedics, dermatology, dental, and psychiatry - provided free consultations and treatments.

Free medicines were also distrib uted to all patients during the camp which was attended by around 250 individuals availing themselves of medical services, informed a press release from RIMS.
RIMS thanked participating doctors, volunteers, and support staff for making the camp a success.
The initiative underscored a shared dedication to enhancing public health, promoting hygiene, and expanding access to healthcare, particularly for underserved populations, the release further said.
Meanwhile, a painting and slogan writing competition was held on Saturday at Jubilee Hall, RIMS, Imphal, as part of the month-long observance of World Oral Health Day.
Themed "A Happy Mouth is a Happy Mind", the competition drew over 400 students.
Entries were judged by professionals from their respective fields, it added.
