Imphal, July 05 2024: Staff of Angel Children Hospital & Vaccination Centre and Uripok Apunba Lup jointly staged a sit-in protest in front of the hospital at Uripok Achom Leikai oh Friday, condemning the gun attack carried out at the hospital on Thursday evening.

Speaking on the sidelines, nursing in-charge Soibam Seema Chanu strongly condemned the attack, and cautioning that innocent patients are at risk by such attacks.

She questioned the reason behind the attack, while suggesting that any misunderstandings or disagreements be resolved through talks.

She then appealed against repeating such incidents in Angel Hospital and also in other hospitals, while questioning who would be held responsible if something unfortunate were to happen to the young patients.

Uripok Apunba Lup Publicity secretary Nambam Chingthang also condemned the incident, and said that such attacks in crowded areas should not be carried out, especially when the future and survival of the Meetei community is at stake.

If there is any disagreements, the matter should be resolved through dialogues, he stressed, and urged all not to commit such acts in any hospital in the future.
