Army, AR celebrate National Doctors' Day

In an effort to honour the selfless contributions of doctors, the Indian Army conducted a Lecture on 'Ethics and Empathy: The Heart of Medical Practice" at Leimakhong Military Station on Monday to educate troops on the relentless dedicated service of doctors in the society, and understanding current challenges in healthcare system, patient-doctor communication and advances in medical technology.
The event marked by felicitation ceremony for doctors and medical staff, was initiated by the army to foster enhanced understanding among troops in overall physical and mental wellbeing.
Assam Rifles of IGAR (S) also commemorated World Doctors' Day at Primary Health Centre Nambol, Bishnupur district on Monday.
According to a release by PRO IGAR (South), the day is being observed in recognition of the invaluable contributions of medical professionals in safeguarding the health and well-being of communities, often in challenging environments.
This year's celebration highlights the theme of resilience and commitment, reflecting on the challenges faced and overcome by our medical personnel amidst the prevailing situation of Manipur.
The event comprised interaction with the doctors and medical staff, followed by a cake cutting ceremony and distribution of sweets.
AR expressed its deepest gratitude to all doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff for their commitment to the society and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and empowering medical professionals in their crucial role, the release conveyed.
