Governor, minister extend Diwali greetings

Governor Lakhsman Prasad Acharya and education minister Th Basanta Kumar extended warm greetings to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Diwali.
In his message, Governor Acharya stated that Diwali is one of the grandest festivals of the Hindus and celebrated across the length and breadth of the country.
"It is also known as the festival of light and signifies the triumph of the good over the evil.
The illumination on this day marks the joy and happiness on the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana.
Let the light of Diwali dispel hatred, enmity and disunity among the people of the state.
I join the people of Manipur in the celebration of Diwali and pray that this festival may bring peace and prosperity to the state," Acharya said.
The education minister, in his message, said, "As we light the diyas and celebrate this beautiful festival, let us remember the true essence bf Diwali.
It is a time to spread love, compassion, and kindness.
Let us come together to share the joy of this festival with those around us, especially the less fortunate, and make this Diwali a truly memorable one for everyone.
May the light of Diwali bring happiness, prosperity, and peace to every home in Manipur.
Let us embrace the spirit of unity and harmony, and work together towards a brighter and more prosperous future for our state" .
