Thoubal gets Aadhaar-linked BR facility

Thoubal, January 28 2025:
Aadhaar Linked Birth Registration (ALBR) was launched in Thoubal on Tuesday by health director Dr Chambo Golmei at a function organised jointly by Directorate of Health Services and Thoubal CMO at Thoubal District Hospital conference hall.
With this, Thoubal has become the first district in the state to implement the ALBR.
Dr Chambo Golmei and CMO Dr Nokul were present as chief guest and president respectively while Family Welfare director Dr N Hemantakumar Singh and Vital Statistics Manipur consultant Dr Meena Seram were the guests of honour of the function'.
In his address, Dr Chambo Golmei stated that the newly introduced ALBR will offer various benefits to the public.
He noted that Thoubal District Hospital is the first in the state to launch the ALBR under the guidance of chief minister N Biren Singh, following its rollout across the country.
He also encouraged parents to register children aged 0-5 years, so they can access a range of benefits, including scholarships, subsidies and various government schemes.
Family Welfare director Dr N Hernantakumar Singh pointed put that the ALBR initiative is expected to address the issue of illegal immigration in the state.
