Guru Abunghal Centre wins multiple awards

Imphal, October 24 2024: A cultural team of Guru Abunghal Dance and Music Centre, Keishamthong Longjam Leirak bagged numerous awards in cultural event Rangodaya-2024' organised jointly by Sanskar Bharti Natya Kendra, Agra in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, and Milton Public School, Agra from October 14 to 17 in Agra.

The centre bagged first position in cultural parade (best religious and mythological category) and President's Award for Group Classical Dance Performance (senior category).

Drishita Kongbrailatpam of the centre won third position in Classical Dance Solo Performance (junior category) and Kangabam Malemnganbi Chanu third in Classical Dance Solo Performance (senior category), while Guru Nongmaithem.

Memcha Devi received the Karmayogi Swaroop Chand Jain Award, Kumari Malemn-sanbi Chanu conferred the Radha Rani Award and Sha-murailatpam Devadatta Sharma presented the Meera Award.

The 11-member team was led by Centre's guru Nongmaithem Memcha.
