ZU-AMN centenary celebration on Feb 28

Imphal, February 24 2025:
Zeliangrong Union-Assam, Manipur & Nagaland (ZU-AMN) will celebrate 100 years of its existence on February 28 at Sangaiprou Kabui village under the theme 'Commemorate the Past to Inspire the Future'.
The inaugural function will be held with former Union minister of state for home affairs professor Meijinlung Kamson as chief guest while Patsoi MLA Sapam Kunjakeswor Singh will be chief guest of the valedictory function, according to ZU Centenary Celebration Committee secretary Pantijai Newmei.
The secretary also informed that celebration will feature the traditional drum beating, 'Ho-hoing', folk song, traditional attire parade and display etc.
The Committee has advised all village 'Pei', frontal organisations of Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei and Inpui, students and youths to participate in the event so as to strengthen the bond of unity, and integrity inherited from the ancestors.
It also appealed to all concerned not to call bandh, blockade, strike, etc., to facilitate smooth conduct of the celebration.
