Hardware equipment distributed to societies

Jiribam, July 23 2025:
In a significant step towards modernising primary agricultural credit societies, deputy commissioner Krishna Kumar, distributed hardware equipment to eligible societies in Jiribam and Borobekra sub-division on Wednesday.
The distribution programme was held at the conference hall of the DC Office, here, as part of the computerisation of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) under the Ministry of Cooperation.
The programme was jointly organised by Jiribam district cooperative officer, and the district administration.
Hardware equipment - including desktops, printers, biometric devices, UPS units, VPNs, tablets, and batteries - was distributed to five societies: Dihong, Sorok Atingbi, Sonapur, Latingkhal, and Borobekra-Jakuradhor GPL MPCS Ltd.
While distributing the equipment, DC Krishna Kumar advised the primary agricultural credit societies to use the equipment judiciously and efficiently to ensure maximum benefit for their members.
The.
programme aims to enhance the efficiency and transparency of the societies, ultimately benefiting fanners and members.
The event was attended by district cooperative officer (Jiribam) Md Nasir Khan; SDC/BO S Sitaranjit Singh; and officials from the cooperative societies.
This initiative is expected to significantly improve the functioning of primary agricultural credit societies, enabling them to provide better services to their members.
