108 dengue cases reported in CCpur

CCpur, October 21 2024: Contrary to information updated on the website of the Health Directorate vis-a-vis dengue outbreak in the state displaying 'nil' in both the positive case and casualty columns for Churachandpur district, official record maintained by the district s officials put the number of dengue positive cases to 108 enumerated from January, 2024, though there is no fatality as on Monday.

According to official reports, most of the dengue cases are from residential pockets along Rengkai road, and in Zenhang Lamka and Tuibong areas in the district headquarters.

To prevent further spread of the vector-borne disease, District Malaria Department has initiated necessary measures, including fogging and other pre-emptive activities particularly de-clogging of drains and sanitising possible mosquito breeding ground.
