NEET achiever Laishram Neera feted

Thoubal, August 18 2025: Laishram Neera, who secured the fourth position in the NEET 2025 examination, was felicitated with a cash reward of Rs 24,000 by the Ex-Servicemen Fraternity of Manipur in recognition of her achievement and as encouragement for her future studies.

Neera, daughter of the late retired Naik Laishram Rameshwar of Thoubal Kshetri Leikai, achieved the fourth rank in the state in this year's NEET examination.

The reward money was handed over to the family of late Rameshwar on Monday morning by retired colonel T Robindro Sharma, captain P Khelen Singh and subedar M Khogendra, all members of the Ex-Servicemen Fraternity of Manipur.

Speaking at the event, Robindro shared that the assistance to Neera, reflects the fraternity's commitment to supporting the families of deceased ex-servicemen.

He added that upon learning that Neera will pursue MBBS at RIMS, the fraternity decided to extend financial support as an initial step, and assured that more assistance would be provided in future to the best of their capacity.
