AR distributes blankets to children, orphans

Imphal, January 18 2025: Assam Rifles distributed blankets to children at Heikakpokpi Blind School in Kakching district and orphans at Hnatham Orphanage in Chandel district, providing much-needed comfort and warmth during the harsh winter season.

This compassionate effort was conducted in collaboration with the Mumbai-based Manvata Charitable Foundation and reflects the ongoing commitment of the AR to enhance the quality of life in the region, a release by PRO IGAR (S) said.

Around 120 children and orphans benefitted from this humanitarian endeavour, which underscores the organisation's dedication to addressing the needs of vulnerable sections of society.

The initiative is part of a broader mission by the AR aimed at ensuring that no child or individual is left without support during difficult times, the release added.
