Students protest demand education free zone

Imphal, February 15 2025: Students of Imphal Valley School organised a sit-in protest in the school campus at Ghari Makha Leikai on Saturday demanding to make education disturbance-free zone.

They also condemned monetary demands to educational institutes in view of the hardships caused by the current crisis that has been plaguing the state for over 21 months since May 3, 2023.During the protest, the students held banner urging armed groups not to make unreasonable' financial and material demands to educational institutes; and government not to politicise education, ensure 221 days of normal class, take up timely actions, stop corruption, nepotism and favouritism in education sector, and to make education disturbance-free zone.
