MLA Joykisan extends aid to ailing scribes

Imphal, January 15 2025: Thangmeiband MLA Kh Joykisan extended monetary assistance on Wednesday to Kangla Pao daily reporter Ayekpam Birjit, who is currently undergoing treatment at RIMS, and to Impact TV video journalist Leimapokpam Kabichandra, who sustained a bullet injury on his leg in firing by suspected armed Kuki militants while covering news.

MLA Joykisan met Ayekpam Birjit at the dermatology ward of RIMS and Kabichandra at latter's Kongpal Sabal Leikai residence, where he is recovering treatment after discharge from a hospital.

He prayed for the swift recovery of both journalists and their prompt return to work, while also assuring them of further assistance if needed.
