Bomb placed at former RIMS senior resident doctor's house

Imphal, October 13 2024: A hand grenade has been recovered from the Lilong Chajing Meitei Lamkhai residence of former RIMS senior resident (Medicine) Dr Leishangthem Sunil Kumar under Singjamei police station on Sunday.

According to police reports, the bomb was found at the courtyard of Dr Sunil around 7:30 am.

On being contacted, a team from Singjamei police station arrived at the scene and retrieved the grenade around 9 am, registered a case in connection with the incident, and launched investigation.

Meanwhile, in response to the bomb scare, merai paibis of Lilong Chajing Mamang Leikai and Langthabal Kunja Makha Leikai staged a sit-in protest at Lilong Chajing Meitei Lamkhai.
