Spot painting competition organised

Imphal, August 11 2024:
State Central Library, Imphal organised a spot painting competition at its reading hall on Sunday.
In a release, State Central Library chief librarian RK Urmila Devi informed that the competition organised as part of National Library Day observance was participated by 38 children in categories of class III-V and class VI-VIII with the former asked to draw painting of their choice and the latter given the theme 'Benefits of Book Reading for Society'.
In class III-V category, Seram Arithoi (class V) of Shishu Nistha Niketan won the first position, followed by S Purel Mangan (IV) of St George High School in second position and Kh Chandra Meitei (III) of Wangkhei High School third.
Consolation prize winners included L Henthoi (III) of Heritage Convent, Kh Joy Meitei (III) of Wangkhei High School and Kh Gun-leiba Meitei (III) of Tolchou Ibeton Memorial Academy.
As per the release, in class VI-VIII competition, Bri-karma Lourembam (VIII) of The Comprehensive School secured the first position, Nongmaithem Korounganba (VIII) of Heritage Convent wrested the second position as Lenison Rajkumar (VIII) of Purana Rajbari was adjudged third position winner, while Kh Chinglembi (VI) of St Arena of Learning, B Aditya Sharma (VII) of St George High School and Seram Joshita Chanu (VI) of Nongpok Maheikol were recipients of consolation prizes.
The prizes will be presented to the competition winners on Monday.
