Imphal, September 08 2024: Shija Blood Centre & Transfusion Services, Langol organised a one-day blood donation camp in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Thoubal District Branch, and Kanglei Chanura & Youth Red Cross Unit of Waik hom Mani Girls' College, Thoubal at the centre on Friday.

In a release, Shija Hospitals & Research Institute general manager Santosh Shekhar informed that the camp was held under the theme 'No to Drugs, Yes to Health' and aimed at promoting community health and wellness.

As a part of the camp, Lairellakpam Babychan Chanu, who has donated blood 17 times so far, was presented certificate of appreciation and memento in honour of her relentless humanitarian service.

On the other-hand, 40 persons donated blood at the camp.

The release also stated that IRCS, Thoubal secretary K Sadananda Singh, blood coordinator W Rakesh Singh and IRCS Manipur state blood coordinator Gautam Thokchom-acha were present during the programme.
