NYKS plans training on disaster preparedness

Kakching, August 07 2025: Mera Yuva Bharat, formally Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, in collaboration with State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) will organise a 7-day training programme on 'Disaster Preparedness of the Youths' for Chandel district.

In a notification, Mera Yuva Bharat, Chandel deputy director (additional charge) W Paulina Monsang informed that on completion of the training programme, Emergency Responder Kit (ERK) and certificate will be distributed to the participants.

The notification also stated that the participants will be provided boarding and lodging along with travelling allowance, adding that date of the programme will be intimated once it is fixed by the SDMA.

Youth, aged 15 to 30 years, who have passed 7th standard may obtain the prescribed forms from the office and submit the same within August 20 .
