Govt urged to hike VDF's honorarium

Imphal, August 07 2024: Imphal West District VDF Employees Guardian Association has urged the government to pass a resolution in the ongoing state assembly for increasing their honorarium at par with police personnel.

In a release, the Association stated that they have been demanding for increasing the honorarium similar to that of police personnel, yet the government increased the honorarium just for namesake.

The yearly increment of Rs 500 along with the honorarium for VDF is meagre contrary to the high cost of living, it continued, while adding that they have been performing duty similar to that of the police.

The association urged the government to pass a resolution in the ongoing assembly session for hiking the honorarium while cautioning of launching protest if government fails to honour their demand.
