Farmers briefed on medicinal plants

Kakching, July 07 2024:
As a part of Herbal Kingdom Kakching Project taken up for mass plantation of medicinal plants, a farmers' training cum interaction programme was conducted at Kakching Valley School, Irum Lamdong on Sunday.
The programme was attended by Assistant Conservator of Forests, Chandel Naorem Munal Meitei as chief guest, Income Tax commissioner Banita Devi Naorem as president and Herbal Kingdom project director Dr Nongmaithem Rajendro as resource person.
Herbal Kingdom Kakching Project is a joint initiative of Jashumati Devi Public Charitable Trust, Kakching and Jivanti Welfare and Charitable Trust, New Delhi.
For the first phase, 12 medicinal plants are selected for mass plantation and to utilise its medicinal values scientifically.
A report highlighting the initiatives to be taken up by the project was also released.
