Imphal-Pangei road repairing initiated

Khurai MLA L Susindro has taken the initiative to repair the Imphal-Pangei road, which was badly damaged due to breach of the Imphal River bank in Khurai Heikrumakhong area on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters, Kairang Khomidok Gram Panchayat chairperson Md Yunus Ahmed, expressed gratitude to MLA Susindro, stating that without his personal involvement in repairing the damaged road, the local residents would have faced difficulties celebrating the upcoming Eid festival on June 7.Md Ahmed also reflected on the MLA's previous efforts, mentioning that Susindro had constructed 100 houses for families living below the poverty line.
He expressed optimism that the MLA's promise to construct new houses for families affected by the recent floods would soon be fulfilled.
At the event, Khabeisoi Youth Library and Sporting Association (KHYLSA) president Tayebur Rahman, criticised the official flood report published by the DC.
Rahman pointed out that while the report states that only 350 to 400 houses in Kairang Khomidok were affected, the actual number exceeds 10,000 houses severely impacted by the floods.
