IDPs briefed on skill development schemes

Imphal, July 03 2025:
As part of the government's endeavour to support livelihood and rehabilitation of the internally displaced persons (IDPs), an awareness programme on skill development schemes was held on Thursday at Kodompokpi Sports Complex, Thoubal district.
The programme was organised by Department of Skill, Labour, Employment and Entrepreneurship (SLEE) in collaboration with Thoubal district administration and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM).
It was attended by representatives of Manipur Society for Skill Development (MSSD) and various Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).
During the session, IDPs were enlightened about different skill development and training opportunities being offered under government-supported schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PM-KVY), DDU-GKY, ITI courses and other relevant initiatives.
The resource persons highlighted the benefits and career prospects available through these programmes, aimed at empowering displaced individuals with market-relevant skills and sustainable livelihoods.
