Imphal, June 03 2025:
In line with the Government of India's policy of "Zero Tolerance" towards drug abuse, a 24x7 functional platform called the National Narcotics Helpline-MANAS-1933 has been launched to combat drug trafficking and abuse more effectively.
The Anti-Narcotics Task Forces (ANTFs) across states and union territories have been integrated with this helpline to expand the outreach of this platform and facilitate a prompt response.
The MANAS Helpline number, 1933, can be used to report drug trafficking as well as to provide information/guidance related to rehabilitation or counselling.
The identity of the informant is kept strictly confidential, ensuring safe and anonymous access to help.
In addition to the helpline, the MANAS platform also hosts resource material for awareness, including posters, videos, and brochures, which are available for viewing, downloading, and sharing at: https://www.ncbmanas.gov.in/awareness .
This outreach aims to empower citizens to take part in the fight against drug abuse, thereby contributing to the national mission of achieving a "Nasha Mukt Bharat by 2047" .
