AR commemorates Friendship Day

Imphal, August 02 2025: Assam Rifles commemorated Friendship Day by organising a special outreach event in Kakching district.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that students from Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Kakching, visited the Kalyan Ashram Orphanage, where they celebrated the day with children from nearby orphanages and internally displaced persons (IDP) camps.

The highlight of the day was the symbolic exchange of friendship bands, affirming bonds of empathy and acceptance across different life circumstances.

Message boards with heartfelt notes and vibrant art corners provided children with a platform for self-expression, weaving stories of hope through colour and imagination, it added.

The release further stated that these shared experiences carried a profound message: "friendship is the foundation of peace, and when nurtured among young minds, it builds bridges over social divides and cultivates a future rooted in harmony" .
