Chandel, March 01 2025: Assam Rifles inaugurated a multipurpose community hall at Joupi village in Khengjoi sub-division of Chandel district yesterday.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by representatives of civil society organisations (CSOs) and villagers, said a press note issued by IGAR (S).

Notably, the multipurpose hall at Joupi was constructed as part of Operation Sadbhavana.

A debate competition was also organised on the occasion.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation with each speaker presenting well-researched arguments.

Children from the local school also showcased cultural programmes adding a joyful fervour to the event, concluded the IGAR (S) statement.
