Noney DHS holds quarterly review meeting

Noney, May 30 2025:
The first quarterly district-level review meeting of the District Health Society (DHS), Noney, was held at the DC's conference hall on Friday.
The meeting was attended by DHS chairman Dr Sharath Chandra Arroju, CMO Dr Azin Maringmei, senior medical officers, doctors, paramedical staff and officials from the District Health Society.
Resolutions adopted at the meeting include formation of a District Task Force under the National Programme on Climate Change and Human Health (NPCCHH) and observance of major upcoming health events, including World Hypertension Day and World No Tobacco Day.

The meeting also addressed renaming of the Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs) to Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AAM) and reviewed ongoing and future programmes such as the COPD & Dialysis Clinic, VIA screening and Routine Immunisation.
Concerns regarding manpower shortages were raised, including the lack of medical officers, laboratory technicians and vacancies in ASHA worker positions.
The committee also deliberated on issues related to the use and maintenance of ambulances.
Furthermore, the meeting approved the implementation of a District Residency Programme at CHC Nungba and discussed various infrastructure development initiatives.
