Imphal, January 28 2025: Two members of banned armed organisations were arrested by security forces in separate incidents on Monday.

According to a statement of Manipur Police Control Room, an active cadre of the proscribed KCP (Taibangnganba) was arrested from Waithou Thiyam inter-village road under the jurisdiction of Lilong police station.

The arrested individual, identified as Paikhomba Meitei (26), was found in possession of nine 9mm rounds and a wireless handset (TYT).

The other captive identified as Samom Davidson Meitei alias Loya (32), an active member of the banned KCP (MFL), was rounded up from Thongju Pechu Lampak Pukhri under Singjamei police station.

As per the Control Room statement, Davidson was involved in extorting money from local shops in Singjamei and Thongju areas.

Police recovered a mobile phone, a wallet containing Rs 1990, and a two-wheeler from him.
