Kuki-Zo bodies warn hatemongers

Aftermath of alleged derogatory remarks by three 'radical' youths against women on social media, representatives of Zomi Mothers' Association (ZMA), Zomi Students' Federation (ZSF), Kuki Women Organisation for Human Rights (KWOHR) and Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) discussed the issue at KWOHR office on Friday.
During the joint meeting, members present shared their opinions and strategies to address the matter involving three radical youths and agreed to take decisive action against any offender in future.
After the meeting, a joint press statement was issued, informing the public that online activities of enthusiastic and insensitive youth will be strictly monitored.
It also said that posting of communally charged and insensitive contents on social media platforms will be strictly dealt with and monitored in a collaborative and combined effort.
It also advised school administrators to monitor online activities of their students and ban their social media accounts as far as practicable.
