IK Muivah promoted to ADGP

Imphal, February 25 2025: Dr Immanuel K Muivah has been promoted as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) in the IPS above Super Time Scale at Level 15 of the Pay Matrix.

The promotion came into effect immediately, following the recommendation of the Screening Committee Meeting held on February 22 .

Under-secretary (DP) M Rabichandra Singh issued an order in the name of the Governor in this regard on Tuesday.

IK Muivah has served in multiple important capacities, including Superintendent of Police (SP) of Bishnupur and Chandel districts, SP of CMTW, CO of 8th Manipur Rifles, and SP (Jails) .

His tenure as SP (Jails) was particularly noted for significant and lasting reforms in the prison system.

He has also held senior positions such as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Range I and III, Inspector General of Police (IGP) for administration, Zone-II, Intelligence, and Armed Police & Operations (APO) .
