Balidan Diwas; Mass tree plantation drive begins

Bpr/Kak/Tbl, June 23 2021: Balidan Diwas and 68th death anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh was observed today at various places of the State by carrying out mass tree plantation drives.

The tree plantation drive would be carried out till July 6 .

BISHNUPUR
BJP Bishnupur District vice president, Shanjoy Ahanthem under the supervision of BJP Kumbi Mandal observed the 68th death anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Balidan Diwas at his residence at Wangoo Sabal by paying floral tributes.

Later, Shanjoy Ahanthem in association with youth volunteers of the area planted 200 tree saplings at Ibudhou Sangpaolen Pakhangba in Terakhong Maning Leikai and at Ibudhou Pakhangba Laibung in Wangoo Sabal Maning Chingkhong.

KAKCHING
'Balidan Diwas' and the 68th death anniversary of Df> Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was also observed at various places in Kakching district by carrying out mass tree plantation drives.

The mass tree plantation drive was launched for Kakching Assembly Constituency by the local MLA, Mayanglambam Rameshwar at his residence at Kakching Makha Lou.

Floral tributes were also paid to a portrait of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee to pay homage to the Bharatiya Jan Sangh founder.

Later, tree saplings were also planted at various places of the constituency.

A Mass tree plantation drive was also carried out at Hiyanglam AC under the supervision of Hiyanglam AC MLA, DR Radheshyam Yumnam.

On the first day of the dive, 300 tree saplings were planted at Langmeidong Maning Leikai Public Ground.

Likewise, 39 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 28 Sector Assam Rifles and in collaboration with Kakching Forest Department, Keirak Wabagai Gram Panchayat, Ibudhou Thangjing Thougal Lup Keirak Wabagai carried out a mass tree plantation drive at Keirak Wabagai Cheirao Ching.

It was participated by 39 AR Deputy Commandant, I I Singh; Wabagai GP pradhan, Yumnam Hemchand; Forest Beat Office Pallel's Md Salaodin; Ibudhou Thangjing Thouhal Lup Keirak Wabagai members and local volunteers.

Mass tree plantation drive was organised today at Khangabok to commemorate the 68th death anniversary of Dr Shyama Prashad Mukherjee, Bharatiya Jan Sangh founder.

During the mass tree plantation drive organised by BJP Khangabok Mandal and BJYM Khangabok Mandal on "Balidan Diwas", BJP Manipur Pradesh former vice president, Thokchom Jadumani led the drive and planted tree saplings along NH-102 Imphal Moreh Road from Arong Bridge to Tentha.

It was also participated by BJP Khangabok Mandal, BJYM, prominent members of Mahila Mandal and local volunteers.

A total of 300 tree saplings were planted on the day.

Meanwhile, BJP Heirok Mandal also observed the 68th death anniversary of Dr Shyama Prashad Mukherjee and carried out a tree plantation programme at Heirok under the supervision of the local MLA, Dr Thokchom Radheshyam.

Balidan Diwas was also observed at Charangpat Mayai Leikai under the supervision of BJP Manipur Pradesh State Executive Member, Kharibam Jivan.

It was attended by BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president, Rk Somorjit.

A tree plantation drive was also conducted as a part of the observance at various places of Charangpat.

Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) Khangabok Mandal & State Executive Member BJP Manipur Pradesh, Khundrakpam Menjor Mangang also jointly carried out a mass tree plantation drive through the BJP workers of various Polling Stations under Khangabok AC.

It was participated by BJP Khangabok Mandal vice president, Dr Romenkumar Khundrakpam; Ningthoujam Ramananda Singh, general secretary BJP Khangabok Mandal and workers of the Mandal.
