Students briefed on Sainik School entrance exam

Assam Rifles conducted an awareness lecture on Sainik School Entrance Examination at L Hengjol Upper Primary School, Kangpokpi district, on Sunday.
The event was organised as part of an outreach initiative aimed at motivating students, particularly from rural and remote areas, to pursue a disciplined and purposeful academic career in the Sainik School system.
The lecture highlighted the core objectives of Sainik Schools - to prepare students academically, physically, and mentally for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other prestigious institutions, with an emphasis on the values of leadership, patriotism, self-discipline, and physical fitness.
A total of 114 students present were given detailed information on the admission process, eligibility criteria, scholarship opportunities, and the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE).
The interactive session also included success stories of students from the North-East region, who have excelled in Sainik Schools and gone on to serve the nation with distinction.
