AR hold medical camp; aid development

Imphal, January 18 2025:
To commemorate the National Immunisation Day 2025, Tamenglong Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp in Charamram village, Tamenglong district on Saturday.
As per a release, the camp was conducted with an aim to address basic health issues of the locals residing in the area.
Around 150 people from Charamram and neighbouring villages were treated by the medical staff of AR.
The medical camp entailed provision of basic healthcare services like blood pressure and glucose level screening, dental and eye check-ups, immunisations, identification and reddressal of various other health issues.
Medicines were also distributed and administered as per requirement of the patients, it informed.
Meanwhile, AR also-assisted the locals of Thiulon village, Tamenglong district in creating infrastructurefor construction of a new catholic church in the village from January 16 to Saturday, another release by AR said.
According to the release, the residents of Thiulon village approached AR with a requisition for development of infrastructure so that a new catholic church could be constructed in the village premises.
Responding promptly, AR dispensed requisite manpower and resources for the task.
The assistance involved paving of a path, levelling of earth and construction of a parking area for ease of access, it added.
