PNU lifts social boycott, retracts decision

The Poumai Naga Union (PNU) lifted its earlier social/political boycott of six Poumai Naga individuals and has withdrawn dissociation with other Naga apex bodies including the United Naga Council (UNC), All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM), Naga Women's Union (NWU) and Naga Peoples' Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR).
The decision comes after careful deliberation and in alignment with the 'Letter of Commitment' signed between the NSCN/GPRN and official delegation of Poumai Naga Union on November 26 .
The decision reflects commitment to fostering mutual respect, reconciliation and peaceful coexistence of all parties involved.
According to a statement of PNU, agreement signed on November 26 served as a testament to the shared vision of resolving conflicts through dialogue, mutual understanding, and trust.
These actions by PNU demonstrate a sincere effort to honour the commitments made and work towards a harmonious relationship among all stakeholders, conveyed the statement, as PNU urged all concerned to take note of the development and provide necessary guidance or support to insure the successful implementation of the resolution.
