HAC chairman unveils memorial stone

Noney, November 13 2024: Hill Areas Committee chairman Dinganglung Gangmei, unveiled a memorial stone erected in memory of Poungamthai (John) Kamei and Lungriliu Kamei on Wednesday at Tupul Common Ground, Noney district.

BJP Manipur Pradesh ST Morcha president Lanjaigai Kamei M/S Gaidingam Oil Pump, Noney proprietor Stody Dangmei also attended the event as guests of honour while Pastor Gideon Gonmei, of West Circle Leader Manipur Conference of SDA, led the ceremony as the gospel speaker.

Many religious, CSO and village authority leaders, as well as family members and relatives, and well-wishers attended the gathering.

In his address, Dinganglung Gangmei emphasised the importance of honouring former leaders and ancestors, noting, "Our former leaders and ancestors laid the foundations of our society, enabling us to enjoy the lives we lead today.

As they have shown us the way, it is our responsibility as parents to guide the next generation, steering them away from harmful practices such as drug and substance abuse.

We must support one another to live with dignity and as responsible, culturally grounded individuals, building a well-cultivated society for the future" .
