165 TA Alpha Coy organises plantation drive

Imphal, August 13 2024: In a bid to address the urgent need for environmental conservation, Alpha Company of 165 TA (H&H) Battalion, Koirengei, organised a tree plantation drive under the leadership of company commander Major Sudan Thapa.

The drive on Tuesday had active participation of JCOs, soldiers, and local school children, emphasising the importance of nurturing nature for future generations.

The drive not only focused on planting trees but also was a concerted effort to instil sense of responsibility towards the environment among the young minds.

The children were educated on the significance of trees and the broader impact of environmental conservation.

The event highlighted the Army's commitment to nature and its role in fostering environmental awareness among the community's future flag bearers, according to a press communique made available to media.
