Discourse explores means to whet rural economy

Imphal, April 11 2025:
Livelihood Business Incubation Centre of Khongnangthaba University organised a one-day discourse on improving the rural economy of the state on the topic 'Navigating Business Incubation: Strategies, Challenges and Opportunities' at the Khurai Konsam Leikai auditorium of the university on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Livelihood Business Incubation Centre director Dr A Guneshwor Sharma pointed out that as economies all the states, including Manipur, are agro-based, emphasis should be on developing the rural areas and agro-industries.

For this, initiatives have been taken up to improve the rural economy and promote entrepreneurs under the Aspire Project of MSME.
To ensure further success of the project, there is need to promote available resources, he maintained, while explaining the objective of organising the discourse.
The discourse was attended by CAU College of Food Technology, Imphal chief scientist Prof H Birkumar, dean Prof Ngaseppam Iboyaima and MSME Technology Centre, Imphal deputy director Dr Sinam Yoirentomba as resource persons.
Khongnangthaba University VC Prof N Joyku-mar, faculty, entrepreneurs and students also attended the discourse.
