Bishnupur, June 10 2025:
Law enforcement personnel on Tuesday cleared debris left behind by bandh supporters during the shutdown called by Arambai Tenggol in protest against the arrest of one of its leaders, Ashem Kanan, by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Excavators and dumper trucks were used to remove ashes from burnt tyres, piles of logs, rocks, mud and other materials used to block the roads during the bandh.
The clean-up drive was launched to restore normal vehicular movement and prevent obstruction to emergency services after Arambai Tenggol on Tuesday announced decision to suspend the shutdown and continue democratic forms of protest until Kanan is released.
