VDF body extends aid to deceased, injured personnel

Imphal, August 07 2025: Bishnupur District VDF Welfare Association on Thursday extended financial assistance of Rs 1,50,000 to the family of the late VDF member Oinam Chaoba Singh of Irengbam Mamang Makha Leikai, who was posted at Waroiching Outpost and passed away on July 26.According to a statement from the association, the aid was provided from the VDF Welfare Fund.

The cash assistance was handed over to the bereaved family under the guidance of Bishnupur SP Ksh Ravikumar Singh and additional SP (L/O) Yumnam Premjit, who also serves as chairman of the, Bishnupur District VDF Welfare Committee.

The amount was formally handed over by Association president Oinam Bijoy Singh, general secretary Naorem Rameshwor Singh, cashier N Sanjit Singh and other functionaries of the association.

Additionally, the association provided Rs 15,000 to critically injured VDF members Th Rajibkumar Singh and Rs 10,000 to Kh Ojit Singh as part of its welfare support initiatives.
