Year-long campaign against drug underway

Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) Manipur launched a year-long campaign against drug at Korou Foundation Rehab Centre, Meitei Langol, near Thongak Lairembi on Wednesday.
The programme was chaired by NAB PS additional SP Y Kishorchand Singh, NAB OC inspector S Ibomcha and 2nd OC SI L Omeshor Singh, U-Trust president Herojit Sagolsem, and PD Korou Foundation secretary Bosen Chingakham as presidium members.
During the programme SP Kishorchand stated that the aim of a year-long campaign is to free the country from the menace of drugs by adopting zero tolerance policy against narcotics while S Ibomcha elaborated on supply reduction & demand reduction, drug use impacts to self, family and society at large.
He further made a slide presentation showing testimony of drug users who fought addiction and became productive member of the society.
The programme was attended by inmates, ex-inmates of Korou foundation and staffers.
