Ecom Express opens all women delivery centre

Imphal, September 05 2022: Ecom Express opened the first ever all women delivery centre in the northeast region at Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai, Lilashing Khongnangkhong here on Monday.

The centre was inaugurated by Manipuri film actor RK Kaiku, in the presence of Ecom Express North East Circle Area manager Rajkumar Suraj and related staff.

Speaking on the occasion, Suraj informed that the delivery centre was opened with the idea of promoting women empowerment and it is the sixth centre of Ecom Express in India.

The delivery centre head, supervisor and delivery associates are all women, and this has been done as part of the company 's commitment towards respecting diversity and inclusion and providing additional op portunities to women in the logistics sector.

In his speech, RK Kaiku lauded the changing trend of youth especially women cultivating a work culture, and showcasing that men and women are on equal terms in present times.

He then exhorted all to work hard and refrain from being picky, adding that hard work begets success.
