'Unstable' woman in Bpr OSC custody

Bishnupur, June 05 2025: A mentally unsound middle-age woman is currently in the custody of the One Stop Centre (OSC) at New Mini Centre Complex.

According to OSC administrator L Chanu Yaiphabi, the woman is around 50 years of age and mentally unsound.

The woman also speaks incoherently and unfamiliar language making it difficult to identify her origins.

She was found wandering in Nongmaikhong Makha Leikai by personnel of Keibul police station around 10 pm on June 3 and brought to the Centre.

According to the OSC, if anyone recognises the woman or has any information about her, he/she may pick her up from the Centre and reunite with her family, as she could stay at the Centre for only five days.

"If no one picks her up, she would be placed at Shakti Sudan or a women-only aged home in Bishnupur," the administration added.
