Assam Rifles aids snake bite Ukhrul victim

Assam Rifles personnel at Shangshak Unit Hospital in Ukhrul district administered life-saving medical care to a critically ill snakebite victim from a remote village.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that Joseph (66), a resident of Nungshang Khullen village, was bitten by a venomous snake while going about his daily activities on Friday.
He was transported to the AR Unit Hospital in a semi-conscious state, exhibiting severe symptoms of envenomation and dangerously low vital signs.
Upon arrival, the medical team at Shangshak Hospital, sprang into action, promptly administered anti -venom, stabilised the patient's vital signs, and initiated continuous monitoring.
Thanks to their decisive intervention and expert medical care, Joseph was brought out of critical condition and is now recovering well, the release added.
