Army displays weapons, AR holds job drive

Imphal, July 02 2024:
Indian Army organised a weapon and equipment display at St Xavier's School, Moirang in Bishnupur district which drew over 450 students, including 204 cadets from 14 NCC Battalion, Group HQs Imphal, Girls' NCC Battalion, Ningthoukong School, 250 students, 15 teachers from other schools.
According to PRO (Defence), the display raised awareness, educated and motivated the children about the Indian Army.
Officers and soldiers also interacted with the children, inspiring them to join the Indian Armed Forces and contribute towards nation building.
The event was part of the Indian Army's continuous efforts to engage local youngsters for a bright future, added the PRO.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles organised a motivation campaign for recruitment of local youths in security forces at Sorde village in Kamjong district on July 1.The event attended by 46 youths commenced with reception and welcome note by the officials of Assam Rifles.
The attendees received an overview of the various career opportunities offered by the Armed Forces, along with ari explanation of the qualifications required for each.
Thanking the Assam Rifles for arranging such a helpful event', the students and the village leaders promised to extend their unwavering support to security forces, said PRO IGAR (S) in a release.
