Kunjarani, Clay Khongsai named for PSM

Imphal, January 25 2025: Many state natives serving in central forces figured among the lists of gallantry and service medals announced by the Ministry of Home and Ministry of Defence of the Government of India in connection with Republic Day, 2025 celebration.

Notable among them are Nameirakpam Kunjarani (CRPF commandant) and Clay Khongsai (IG-ITBF) as both figured among the list of 101 recipients of President's Medal for Distinguish Service (PSM) announced by the Ministry of Home on Saturday.

Another state native K Simreingam also featured in the list of approval given by the Ministry of Home Affairs for Jeeban Raksha Padak Series of Awards-2024 usually given to a person for meritorious act of human nature in saving the life of a person.

On the other hand, two state natives serving in central forces figured in the list of 93 armed forces personnel approved by the Ministry of Defence for gallantry awards.

They are Indian Air Force's flying pilot Group Captain Kshetrimayum Shyamananda Singh for Vayu Sena Medal and Major Sukrujen Pangei-jam of 4 Assam Rifles for Sena Medal for Gallantry.
