Imphal, June 23 2025: State horticulture & soil conservation department bagged the first prize in excellent promotion of horticultural products category of the international agriculture, horticulture and organic Expo-2025 held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi since June 21 .

The state department bagged the prize based on contributions in the field and programmes being undertaken by it, MIDS mission and Manipur State Horticulture Mission.

MIDS mission director Chuhong Pamel, assistant agriculture officer (MIDS) Dipak Huidrom and assistant horticulture inspector Laishram Priyokumar led the state delegation at the Expo.

Organic products of state's hortitulture entrepreneurs Khayiwon Shang (proprietor M/S Ngayam Foods, Ukhrul) and RK Binita (proprietor M/S Binita Mushroom, Moirangkampu) drew huge visitors at the international Expo.

More than 130 stalls belonging to major agriculture companies were set up as part of the Expo held with the financial support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
