Ek Ped Maa Ke Nam campaign launched

Ukhrul, August 22 2024: In an effort to increase forest cover, Ukhrul district administration launched a tree-planting initiative as part of the Ek Ped Maa Ke Nam campaign.

As part of the campaign, social work and tree plantation were conducted at five designated locations including mini-secretariat compound, Meizailungtang, Shirui and Ramva villages on Thursday.

Various departmental DDOs and their staffers were assigned to these sites to contribute to the social work.

Ukhrul DC Zuringla Kengoo actively participated in the initiative by planting saplings at the locations.

Among the attendees included CEO of UADC David Kashungnao, CMQ Dr Kapangring, DFO Rajesh Dashrath Darade, Ukhrul ADM Kajaigai Gangmei, SDO of LM Block A Rohini, ADM of Jessami Duna Dua, Ukhrul SDO Dinringam Kamei and Ukhrul SDC Riamei Jiangmei.
