Organised by the Department of Information Technology (DIT), Bishnupur, the workshop seeks to assist relief camp residents in accessing various welfare schemes, resolving grievances, and obtaining essential documents such as domicile certificates, Scheduled Tribe (ST), Scheduled Caste (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Income Certificates.
Support for Aadhaar enrolment and corrections is also provided where feasible.
The workshop is being held subdivision-wise across the district.
On the first day, it took place at relief camps set up at Leimaram Government High School, Leimaram SC Girls' Hostel, and Thambal Marik College for Nambol sub-division.

The programme is supervised by district informatics officer Keisham Jayabati Devi, with CSC operators reporting to district manager, DIT, Prasanta Oinam.
Bishnupur deputy commissioner Pooja Elangbam encouraged all relief camp residents to actively participate in the workshop and take full advantage of the services offered.
She emphasised the importance of obtaining required documents and seeking expert guidance on accessing government welfare schemes.
It may be noted that earlier requests were made during the deputy commissioner's visits to relief camps, where residents highlighted difficulties in filling out forms and travelling to CSCs.
