High Court bids farewell to CJ

Imphal, November 21 2024:
A Full Court Farewell was held at the premises of Manipur High Court, Mantripukhri to bid adieu to Chief Justice Siddharth Mridul on his retirement on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Justice Siddharth Mridul reminded that the judiciary exist not only to safeguard the fundamental rights of the people but also to improve the socio-economic quality and deliver justice to the people.
He said that the time he served as the Chief Justice of Manipur High Court is one of the memorable moments of his life, and urged all to maintain and uphold the spirit of law.
During the function, Justice Ahanthem Bimol, advocate general Lenin Hijam, Bar Council of Manipur president Y Nimolchand, All Manipur Bar Association president Puyam Tomcha Meetei and deputy solicitor general of India Khomdram Samarjit delivered
farewell speeches.
