Noney, August 21 2024: The indefinite bandh called by Rongmei Naga Council Manipur - Ntay Phay Luangrian (RNCM-NTL) has been suspended following an understanding reached between CM N Biren and leaders of RNCM-NTL.

The indefinite bandh/shutdown along NH-37 (Imphal - Jiribam Road) .

Tongjei Maril Road (Bisnupur-Khoupum-Rengpang Road), and Leimatak Loktak Project started from August 18 midnight in pursuance of the demand for an alternative arrangement for administrative convenience to Noney district for those minority Naga tribes living in the foothills of Kangpokpi and Churachandpur districts.

The understanding was reached during a joint meeting chaired by the CM held on Tuesday 9:30 pm with leaders of the agitators including Chiefs' Association of the region.
