AR reaches out to remote villages, ESM

Assam Rifles recently undertook a series of activities, ranging from humanitarian assistance and educational outreach to veteran welfare initiatives.
At Kwatha village, Tengnoupal district, Assam Ri fles provided transportation and security to 12 villagers, including a woman in advanced stage of pregnancy, to avail medical treatment at Pallel.
According to a PRO IGAR (S) release, the initiative also helped other villagers travel to reunite with family members and meet educational requirements.
At Sita village of the same district, Assam Rifles conducted a yoga session on Thursday at the Government High School.
The session, led by a certified instructor, aimed to enhance the well-being of 60 students, teachers, and staff through yoga asanas, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques.
Moreover, Assam Rifles conducted a quarterly 'Welfare Association and Rehabilitation Board (WARB)' meeting at Modi village, Chandel on Wednesday which was attended by 22 ex-servicemen and Veer Naris.
It addressed their grievances regarding pensions and other benefits, and honoured them for their service to the nation, said the PRO, adding that attendees expressed gratitude for the support from Assam Rifles.
